Our Programs
Initiation program
At Garderie Educative sur L'isle, children are classified into age groups so we can meet their early childhood needs. As they grow and develop, they are moved up groups, beginning with a couple of half days to make the transition easy.
Before the transition, parents are notified with a letter. You will have the opportunity to meet with your child’s new daycare teacher to discuss the move and the associated changes in educational activities and other topics.
Extra programs
In addition to our educational programs, Garderie Educative sur L'isle also puts together monthly extra programs for each age group. The programs have a duration that varies from 30 minutes to 2 hours and serve to introduce your child to the delights of music and sports. Our programs revolve around 4 areas of interest:
- Music
- Singing and dancing
- Sports
- Cooking
Knowledge Harvest, Purple Room
For the Knowledge Harvest program, children are grouped according to their age: 3 to 4 and 4 to 5.
The program offers maximum potential for acquiring new skills, including language and mathematics, and promotes social development through group activities. We prepare children to facilitate their entry into school.
In this program, children are also encouraged to explore the world around them and give meaning to what they see and hear.
Additionally, our program promotes creativity and self-expression through crafts activities and games.
Interesting Explorer, Green Room
In the Interesting Explorer group, children begin to do creative art projects with their hands.
They have access to varied and stimulating play materials and they can engage in all sorts of activities, including jigsaw, puzzles, painting and singing. We ensure their harmonious development in an environment that is both safe and enriching.
We also promote the development of language and communication skills through conversation, stories, songs, games and other activities. Our educators will also help their physical and motor development.
Last but not least, Interesting Explorer also aims to help children develop social skills through games and good opportunities to socialize. Children learn about respect for others and the environment, acceptance of differences, sharing and solidarity.
Little Discoverer, Yellow Room
In this group, children begin to develop their language skills, learn basic mathematics and engage in crafts activities.
Children also begin to understand cause-effect relations whereby an action is followed by a reaction. They learn to enjoy more complex stories and physical activities. The program curriculum includes an understanding of nature, science and the multicultural world.
Additionally, we recognize and respect each child’s characteristics, pace of
development and fields of interest. Rest assured that we will motivate your child to explore his or her natural aptitudes.
Comfortable Growth for Blue Room
Our program is also conceptualized to allow infants to explore and develop their physical and cognitive abilities with group games and stimulating play materials. Our team is professionally trained to recognize and respect your child’s aptitudes and interests.
As your child grows and develops language skills, they graduate to our Green Room.
Toddlers2
At Garderie Educative sur L'isle, we have two rooms that are specially designed for infants and toddlers. In both rooms, there is a sleeping area and an active area. For safety reasons, infants who can walk and those who can’t are segregated into groups.
At our daycare, children are welcomed in a warm, nurturing and enriching environment to help their development at all levels, including physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. We encourage each child to develop at his or her own pace while we see to their well-being, health and safety.
